Created for graduate course Apparel Design for Industry, this piece is the first in the Boldly Go collection, inspired by the pop culture classic Star Trek: the Original Series. This piece and the collection play with the show's central themes of exploration, diplomacy, and collaboration, while reflecting its current campy and nostalgic nature as well as the awe and novelty it would have during its original run. The garment itself features a classic crew neck and sheath silhouette with an open back meant to call back to the Starfleet symbol.
