I am a student, geek, self-taught designer, and all-around giant dork from San Diego, CA. Raised in a household of strong and artistic women, I have always found power in all things beautiful and feminine. Consequently, I have always been comfortable owning the fact that I am an unabashed girly-girl and that I liked to play dress up for far longer than was socially acceptable (aka I'm still playing dress up). Nowadays, I like to make pretty things and spend hours consumed by painstaking details, explore the intersections of fashion and fandom, geek out over historical fashions, and spend way too much time researching and recreating my favorite movie costumes.
